6 simple ways to spruce up your home while sheltering in place – Part 6
Over the last few weeks I’ve been sharing simple ways you can spruce up your home while sheltering in place! Today’s idea is one of my FAVORITES!! Mostly because it’s functional AND pretty, so you don’t even have to feel bad about spending money on it.
Idea No 6 is a BRIGHT idea if I do say so myself (that was dumb…I blame Covid…)!
Idea No 6: Add Lighting!
Lighting is one of my favorite things and I always suggest splurging a little for a few reasons….
Reason 1
Having different kinds of lighting gives you options!! Are the overhead lights just too harsh for your game night? Then turn on a table lamp to add a soft glow.
I look waaaaay better in soft dim glow! 😎
Reason 2
Lighting is functional and things being functional will make your life better! For example, having a good light near a spot you like to read can help make reading easier and not strain your tired eyeballs!
Reason 3
It’s pretty! Need I say more!
Changing out the builder-grade overhead lighting in a room instantly makes it feel more unique!
I LOVE to use lighting that makes a statement AND because it’s functional – it’s a good idea to buy good quality pieces. They last longer and in my mind, are safer…think better wiring etc…
